Our love for others tells the true story of our hearts; whether or not we know personally the love of God offered to us. John tells us that Jesus, through his wrath-averting sacrifice, has dealt a death-blow to the great enemy of love: Fear. A deep experience of the costly love of God empowers us to love one another.
