Basically, I am last-minute looking for another roommate to sign lease with by September 1st (at latest!) because my former roommate decided to backed out (she found campus housing🙂).

You don’t have to actually move in by Sept 1! As long as you seem like a reasonable, normal person and you’re ready commit to signing the lease this upcoming week, I can take care of things until you get to DC!

The apartment is clean, modern, all new appliances, compact but has everything we need. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. Rent very affordable at $1895 total (base rent), if we split it we will each pay a little over $1000 including utilities. The area is really nice, it’s right next to CUA, walkable, with a chic university town feel and Trader Joe’s as well as a farmer’s market. Extremely accessible location within about 10-15 minutes walking distance to the Brookland/CUA metro (red line)! It’s everything that a young professional/grad student really needs.

Agent is holding the apartment under my name until Sept 1. YOU MUST SEND YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE MONDAY (24th), and sign the lease before Sept 1, but ideally before August 29th (classes start on 31st for me, I’d love to not be homeless).

I’m not in DC right now but I’ll be arriving on the 24th. Open to meet ups (online or offline) and touring the apt together if you’re in the area between 24th-29th. A little about me: as title says, I’m 23, Christian (not Catholic), I love 19c French lit and history, I draw, I’m studying an MArch (Masters of Architecture) at CUA, I’m quiet until we get to know each other, and I have a history of getting along with just about anyone!
