We are two Christian women, both in our 30s, looking for a third housemate to join us. We live in a sunny, spacious brick row house in the Kingman Park neighborhood near Capitol Hill / H St. NE. It’s a 15-min. walk to the nearest Metro station (Stadium-Armory), a 10-min. walk to H St NE, and a 25-min. walk or 10-min. drive to Eastern Market. There are also multiple bus routes within a 1-3 block radius, a front porch, lovely mature trees along our street, and friendly neighbors. You’d have your own large bedroom and private bathroom, including a full bath tub and skylight. Downstairs we all share a beautiful, recently redone living room, dining room, and kitchen. We also have a very mild-mannered cat, who roams free downstairs, but mostly prefers to keep to himself.

We work in international affairs and in journalism, respectively. We are both active in our church (Christ City Church, which is just up the street), and are passionate about social justice and doing what we can to love our neighbors. We are clean, quiet, and chill, but also deeply enjoy company and hospitality — all while respecting personal space.

The room is available as of April 1, and the lease length and terms are flexible – however, we’ll prioritize candidates ready to sign a lease in April, for a term of at least six months.
