This is a luxury efficiency / studio apartment in the lavish Watergate at Landmark (WAL) complex. The rental rate includes all utilities (including high-speed wireless internet), all amenities, and a 1-year minimum lease length. This studio is within a larger home but has a separate entrance. The renter has access to shared spaces including the foyer, a dining area, and a very spacious kitchen.

The studio is fully-furnished with a full size bed & bedding; a second full size bed-futon that converts from a bed to a couch; a kitchenette with ample storage space, a refrigerator-freezer, microwave, baking oven, brand-new electric burner for frying or boiling, toaster, sandwich grill, juicer, steamer, crock pot, coffee pot, tea kettle, blender, brand-new portable dishwasher, pots & pans, glass bowls, cups, plates, cutlery, drying rack, cutting board, baker’s rack, expandable kitchen storage unit, and other cooking equipment; a fully-stocked bathroom with newly re-glazed & re-caulked bathtub, newly refinished bathroom floor, refinished shower with brand new shower parts and spouts, shower curtain, vanity, brand-new ‘Hollywood-style’ vanity lights, new bathroom ceiling lights, weighing scale, toiletries, linens, and portable clothes washing machine and clothes dryer; a newly painted drop-leaf wood table that seats two (2) to four (4) people by the window – the table can serve as a desk or as a dining table; 3 comfortable chairs; a large screen (42 in. diagonal) high-definition TV that connects to your phone or computer via Google Chromecast so you can broadcast video (Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.) from your phone to the TV; a walk-in closet with new lighting, a bureau, storage containers, clothes hangers, clothes bin, extra bedding, vacuum, Swiffer mop, Swiffer duster, and dust pan; a closet with sliding doors; brand new window curtain rod with double curtains; a TV stand with shelves; a bedside table with shelves and lights; two bookcases; stationary supplies; multiple lamps; and wall decorations. The carpet is newly installed and is professionally cleaned. The HVAC is new. As an occupant of this condo, you will have exclusive use of this efficiency / studio. The studio also includes a beautiful view of the Alexandria skyline from the 15th floor, from one of the highest buildings in Alexandria. One can see ~10 to ~15 miles, all the way into the state of Maryland, including the lighted Ferris Wheel at National Harbor, MD at night. From the window, one can also frequently see bald and golden eagles flying by. You will also have access to additional storage in the foyer, including two large closets with sliding glass doors. The foyer has a brand-new ceiling light. The renter has access to additional space that is shared with the owner; these spaces include a small foyer, a small dining area, and a very spacious kitchen.

The studio is security-protected by a coded lock, motion-activated video surveillance at the front door, FOB key-entry only to the entire building, and manned 24-hour security at both vehicle entrances to the complex. The security deposit is one month’s rent. This website charges about $24.99 for the background check, & with that, the applicant can apply to up to ~10 properties. A criminal background check and credit check will be performed. Applicants must provide their last 2 pay stubs and a copy of their driver’s license / U.S. federal government I.D. All utilities (heating, cooling, HVAC, garbage, water, etc.) and high-speed wireless internet are included. The occupant will be required to purchase rental insurance. Renter’s insurance is typically ~$50 to ~$100/year.

PARKING: Up to 1 outdoor parking space is available on-site for free within a secure parking lot with 24-hour security. Up to 1 indoor, covered garage parking space is available for an additional $150/month.

Before one can move in, an agreement must be signed, and one must pay the first month’s rent & utilities ($1,250), the security deposit ($1,250), a $140 move-in fee required by the WAL complex, and a $275 move-out fee required by the WAL complex. The WAL complex only allows large move-ins to be scheduled Monday to Friday 9:30am-6pm only. If you can complete your move-in in less than one hour, the WAL complex allows up to one hour moves on either a Sat. or a Sun., between ~10:30am-4pm. All moves must be scheduled and pre-approved by WAL and the owner in advance. WAL charges $25 for an electronic pass for your car to automatically open the gate when your car passes by. Pet policy: No cats, dogs, snakes, or large animals. Small, caged pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs or fish are allowed, as long as they remain caged. Renter(s) are expected to be courteous, tidy, reasonable, & to follow all WAL rules. WAL’s internal policies require that one demonstrates residency in the state of Virginia (via a Virginia driver’s license, a Virginia voter ID card, etc.) for WAL to grant full access to the WAL complex.

The earliest available move-in date is May 4, 2026.
