Vision

The Grace DC’s Mission Review Team (MRT) intentionally seeks to build deep relationships with local churches and missionaries in Turkey, Thailand, and Central and South America with a focus on Peru.

The MRT organizes several vision and mission trips each year to love, encourage, and support our partners, while learning and experiencing the cultural context in which our partners live and serve. MRT prays regularly, meets with missionaries and their families, and shares stories with the Grace DC congregation about how God is working. If you are a missionary doing work that aligns with our vision in these regions, or a Grace DC member who is interested in becoming a missionary, serving with MRT, or learning more about MRT’s vision and work, we welcome your inquiries that may be directed to the MRT Lead, Stephen Saunders here.

Partners

Turkey

The MRT partners with local pastors and churches* in Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey. Both churches minister to local believers and those who are interested in learning more about Christianity. Christians make up 0.2% of its population. We also participate in the Asia Minor Partners (AMP), which is a network of churches that seeks to encourage its partner churches in Turkey.

Please pray for God to:

• continue to provide for the physical and spiritual health and well-being of the pastors, leaders, foreign workers, and their families who serve at our partner Turkish churches in Istanbul and Ankara
• deepen, mature, and embolden the faith of our brothers and sisters in Turkey as the Holy Spirit illuminates truths in the Word of God increases their wisdom. May they also be encouraged that they are part of the larger family of God that loves and prays for them
• raise up more Turkish pastors and church leaders who teach sound doctrines and truths that are firmly grounded in Scripture and bless the growth of intensive educational programs for pastors and church leaders

Peru

MRT partners with Mark and Lori Berry who work with Serge to mentor and conduct conferences for local pastors in Chile and Peru. Before joining Serge, they planted by God’s grace a church in Peru that is now self-sustaining and led by a local pastor. They also oversaw the founding of a home for abused teen moms and their babies called the House of Glory, or La Casa de la Gloria, and are continuing to facilitate partnerships. 

Please pray for God to:

• bless Mark’s ministry of training pastors and church leaders in Peru and Chile, graciously letting it flourish and grow for God’s glory
• call more missionaries to the field to help further God’s kingdom across Central and South America and for God to plant strong, self-sustaining churches that are led by local pastors
• continually grow the House of Glory and the church that the Berry’s planted in Lima, Peru as God holistically provides for and meets the needs of the teenage mothers and their babies – letting them know that they are deeply loved by God
