Getting to know the cross of Jesus is never love at first sight. The message of a crucified Savior at first appears to be utter foolishness until the Holy Spirit reveals it to us as the wisdom of God. Paul tells us how God himself (Father) must give himself (Spirit) to help us understand and embrace himself (Son).
