As you think on the fact that “forgiveness comes at a cost to the one granting forgiveness”, in which of your relationships has this cost been “too much” for you to bear?
Currently, with whom are you required to ask forgive from and what assurances from God’s word gives you the courage and faith to do so?
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
We talk a good forgiving line as long as somebody else needs to do it, but few of us have the heart for it while we are dangling from one end of a bond broken by somebody else’s cruelty.
